Honeymoon at Coron, Palawan

Hello, everyone! It is my first day of blogging again. I had tried blogging like 5 years ago but because of my hectic schedule I have taken it for granted, so for this time, I am taking this chance to start fresh. I am hoping that you enjoy your read and that my blog can be of any help.

After our wedding, last March 16, 2014, me and my husband decided to go to Coron Palawan after a week since we had to finished a transaction in Manila. Technically, it is our honeymoon. Yey!

Since it is not our first time in Coron, we already know what to expect in Coron proper. Coron proper is a bit crowded and we are looking for a place where we can really relax and enjoy nature without staying too far from the town proper.

We stayed in Villa Khadine Grand Vista Resort or some people are use to calling it as Grand Vista. It is just a short ride to the town proper, roughly just 5 minutes away but certainly, it's quieter and the resort has plenty of space to roam around. You don't have to worry about your ride as the staff can contact someone to pick you up at the resort.

Their accommodations are native huts and cottages on a huge and secluded property. The only available room when we get there was Cottage 2 (connecting 2 rooms) but the owner gave it at a price that is equivalent to the room that we suppose to book which is only P1,200.00 for 2 pax. For updated room rates you may check their website here.

Grand Vista offers private and peaceful ambiance not far from the town.

Because the resort is huge and the owner understands the importance of privacy, the rooms here are individually separated as if you have your own space in a vast of land overlooking the sea. They also have villas/cottages that are good for a group or a family.

Here's a shot from the gate of the resort. The road is concrete with a beautiful view of the sea going to town proper. You can enjoy a jog or a bike in the morning or late afternoon here because of its terrain, not to mention only a few vehicles drive down this way as their national road is just on the other side.

Near the gate is a common area which serves like the resort lobby that I really like because of its wooden and native concept.

They also have a restaurant where you can eat but when we arrived they are renovating it as it has been damaged by Typhoon Haiyan.

Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay. There are so many picture perfect spots for your selfies or photo shoot.

Not to forget, that the view is so relaxing, and there are many areas where all you can do is relax, read a book, meditate, listen to music or even take a nap.

If I remember it correctly, the owner mentioned that they are going to build a swimming pool on the lower part of their property so hopefully when we get back here we can take a dip into it.

On the other hand, we were able to visit Coron Westown Resort too as our godparents invited us there for dinner and a videoke bonding.

Tomorrow, we are heading to Ocamocam Beach. It was a great day indeed. We stayed in Grand Vista for just a day as we are off to more adventures on Busuanga Island. You may check their rates and book a room for your stay on their website.
