Exploring Ocamocam Beach in Busuanga Palawan

Great new morning! We head off to Ocamocam Beach in Busuanga from Grand Vista with a van that our godparents lend us so we can drive around the island, but many tourists especially foreigners choose to explore the island with motorbikes which you can rent from Coron proper for P500.00/day.

Getting in Ocamocam wasn't that hard especially now that the national road is done. It will takeyou less than 2 hours to get there and your scenery is more likely as the photos shown here.

We had to stop for a while just to take a good photo of some views. These photos don't do justice.

We finally arrived and we were welcomed by the soothing sound of the waves and the fresh smell of the sea water. The sand was off-white grayish in color and the water is clear.

There was no electricity on the beach when we came due to Typhoon Haiyan. There has been a delay on putting back their electricity so we had to save our batteries for the time being.

We stayed at our friend's house. He is a Canadian married to a Filipina and half of the year they aren't in the country. They have a pretty native place which we had all for ourselves because our friend was in Cebu then. We were just assisted by my friend's sister in law who lives few steps away.

I went straight to the beach after leaving our things to the house and sit in a hammock and just enjoyed the relaxing yet serene ambiance of our surroundings.

Since it wasn't that sunny then, we decided to take a walk along the shore.

Not too far, we came across this coconut tree and my husband couldn't help but have fun with it, while I, myself is having fun taking these shots of him being silly. "Let's unleash the inner child within us once in a while."

So we have reached the end of the beach strip and what's wonderful on that spot was it is actually facing Black Island and the sunset. Just didn't stay there too long as we will need to walk again for about 20 minutes again to be back to our place and we were already thirsty.

Time to rest and just on the right time, we had some free coconuts straight from the tree.

We then also met a couple from UK whose been traveling the world for the past few months and they've invited us to come with them on a trip to Calauit and Black Island the following day. Without a second thought, we joined them and without regrets, it has exceeded our expectations.

Feel free to check my other posts about our trip to Calauit and Black Island.

Here's a video of the sunset taken on the same spot where we had this photo above.
